Katie Spencer has fourteen years of experience working in instruction, curriculum design, marketing, and internal communications.  As the Director of Internal Communications at the University of California - San Diego Library, Katie facilitates communications across all levels of the organization and keeps employees well-informed about the business of the library.  She believes employee engagement and a strong sense of organizational community are essential for the ready exchange of information, and implements strategies and initiatives that foster an organizational culture where employees understand and value each other's contributions.
